Message Or something like that. The 1/4 mile timing thing with the lines on the road is designed to be reasonably accurate at normal speeds- say, 10 to 20 over the limit. It would be hard to explain to the judge that the ticket should be voided because the rider was going so fast that the human error of the cop in the plane clicking the stopwatch was good for 25 or so MPH.

"But your honor, I couldn't have been going 205. The bike is only designed to go 175!"

A good lawyer might be able to get the absolute speed reduced, but the rider's still cooked for reckless endangerment and riding without a license.

:There is no way in hell he was going 205 MPH on a honda CBR1000RR. Unless he had a turbo kit (which to the best of my knowledge has not been released for that bike) he is not going 205. On top of that, I cannot imagine a 20 year old having a turbo kit, and yet no motorcycle license. The cop was a little too antsy with the stopwatch. To get 20 mph more topend for a motorcycle would take more than a slip on and a PCIII.
